1. The first single that should have been taken to promote the album, was not supposed to be "I'm a Slave 4 U", but the future European bonus track: "Before The Goodbye".
The thing, thank God it didn't happened, was related to a serious misunderstanding between the producer of the track and Jive Records. According to the reports received, the track was not properly transferred from the producer and the rights stood on him in the U.S. territory. This didn't happened in Europe, where it was included as a bonus track.
首單原計畫不是Slave, 而是歐洲版的Bonus Track”Before The Goodbye”。據報導，這跟一些公司與製作人之間的嚴重誤會有關，製作人並沒有很好的詮釋出這首歌，而且遇上911事件，由於911這件事沒有在歐洲發生，所以最後還是成了Bonus Track
(其實我也不太懂選歌跟911有啥關係= = 還是說是歌詞裡的問題?)
2. "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet A Woman" was released as the second single in the U.S. unlike in Europe, where it was the third single released. Everything was done to logical market decisions related to the movie "Crossroads", soon to be released in America. The video in the States, in fact, was completed by the images of the movie which promoted.

3. "Boys", the track which Britney admitted over and over to be her favorite of the album, shouldn't never suupposed to become a single, but the choice was made as a movie chose it as part of the soundtrack. Of course the movie is "Austin Powers In Gold Member" where Britney made a cameo appearance.
布蘭妮多次承認這張專輯的最愛歌曲Boys，本來是沒有打單的計畫的，這個決定是由於布蘭妮友情客串王牌大間諜以及Boys加進電影的原聲帶而來
4. "Overprotected" was released in America as the third single in a version, as we know, quite different from the European one. Both the video and the basis of the track changed completely and all because Jive Record though that the track was too pop to make the best in the American market.
過度保護在美國作為三單發行，正如我們所知，整首歌跟MV都與歐洲版不同。這是因為JIVE認為這首歌過於Pop，可能會在美國市場反應不好。
5. "Overprotected" was originally meant for Britney's second album, "Oops!...I Did It Again", but was then produced for "Britney".

6. The original title of the album supposed to be "Shock Your Mind", but was changed to "Britney" because she said that the album represented what she was at that time: "Just Britney."
專輯的本來名稱是”Shock Your Mind” (好爛= =... )，但在最後換成了Britney。因為布蘭妮說這張專輯代表了她當時想表達的”就是布蘭妮”的意思
7. The album "Britney" was written entirely by Britney, except that the tracklist, as a result of the major problems related to the movie "Crossroads" was changed drastically.

9. In 2001 Britney was supposed to release two albums, the soundtrack of her movie and the third studio album. At the last moment Jive decided to pack all the material in only one album: "Britney". Doing so they deleted most of the taces written by Britney and inserted a lot of songs created by teen pop producers. Many of the songs on "Britney", in fact, had been produced for the movie and not for the album itself.
